An event to recruit foster parents is being held in the Council House Banqueting Suite, in Victoria Square, Birmingham on Thursday 21 February, between 11.30am and 2.00pm. Helen French, operations manager from the Birmingham City Council Adoption and Fostering recruitment team, said: “We are looking for people from all different walks of life to become foster parents, especially those who have the transferable skills they have developed in a working environment such as schools, care homes and hospitals.
“Above all we are looking for people who have the time and the desire to care for children and young people who need support and encouragement and inspiration in order to reach their full potential, and we know there are plenty of families in Birmingham who meet that criteria and may have never even considered fostering.”
