BBC newsreader Suzanne Virdee (front, seated) gave trainee journalists at Spitfire House an insight into her job as a broadcast journalist. The students are studying on the NCTJ (National Council for the Training of Journalists) at the Castle Vale Campus of Sutton Coldfield College. Many journalists currently writing for local newspapers, such as the Sutton Coldfield Observer, Birmingham Mail, Lichfield Mercury, Solihull Times, Tamworth Herald and others, have progressed from this course.
