Polling Stations Open till 10pm

Polling Stations at Chivenor, Pegasus and Topcliffe Schools will be open from 7a.m. till 10p.m. today to enable Castle Vale residents to cast their vote in the Birmingham City Council elections. Voters will be able to select one candidate from six to serve as their local councillor in a team of three councillors for Tyburn Ward.
Tyburn has 17,207 people registered to vote; 6,760 of them (39.2%), are Castle Vale residents.

i’m going to the polling station in a bit to vote for sally ann rose! will vale mail keep us up to date on the results when they are in?

Yes Sammy, We’ll post the result as soon as we get it. Polling stations close at 10pm, then all the ballot boxes are taken to Stockland Green Leisure Centre for the Tyburn Ward count. We are not allowed into the count. But as soon as the result is announced, we’ll put it on this website. It may be ( is likely to be) after midnight.
