2005 Group ‘disappointed’ with Open Day attendance

Members of the 2005 Way Forward group have expressed disappointment with numbers attending the Castle Vale Open Day held at the secondary school last week. In contrast to comments of encouragement on the day from Chairperson Jean Downey, the 2005 Meeting at CVCHA’s Offices heard that only about 100 people attended, most of those being from the organisations involved.  Members blamed poor weather, the inconvenient location and the lack of appeal of the event to the younger  generation for the low numbers.
