Three consultation meetings have been scheduled for Castle Vale School’s bid to become a ‘Trust’.
The meetings will be held at the School in Farnborough Road, on the following dates:
- For Staff: Monday 8th March at 3.30 pm
- For Parents and Carers: Wednesday 10th March at 6.00 pm
- For Community Groups: Monday 15th March at 6.00 pm
The meetings are part of the first consultation period that closes on 12th April. Trust Status would mean that the school would be guided by a group of trustees headed by a senior educational partner. The school hopes that Birmingham City University wil provide the lead partner,as reported in February’s Vale Mail.
Stan Szaroleta, Chair of the School’s Governors, has said: “This is an important period in the school’s history and development, and the decision on whether or not to become a Trust School is a major one. The Governors believe that becoming a Trust School will potentially have a positive impact on the school and on the children of Castle Vale. They have decided to consult on this proposal subject to certain conditions, one of which is to take into account the views of staff, parents/carers and the wider community.”
He has invited people who would like to express a view but are unable to attend the meeting to submit their comments by e mail to: firstname.lastname@example.org
