Deadline for vote register

April 20th is the date on which the electoral roll is closed ahead of the vote for the General and local elections on 6th May.
This means you must be on the roll by 5pm on April 20th if you want to vote. If you have any doubt as to whether you are on the roll (for example you may have moved recently or have just turned 18) then contact the elections office on 0121 303 2731.
20th April is also the deadline if you wish to submit a new application to vote by post. If you are already registered to vote by post at your current address you do not need to submit a new application.
If you are an existing postal voter, but still have not received your postal vote forms by April 29th, this is the first date from which you can be issued with a replacement form.
