Police seek witnesses to Residents Club incident


Police were called to a disturbance at Castle Vale Residents Club late on Friday evening. One person was taken to hospital in an ambulance after a fight broke out in the car park. It was on the evening of the JKS Presentation Awards, but a JKS spokesperson has said that the incident had nothing at all to do with their members.
Police cordoned off a section of the car park.
Police have issued the following statement: “Police are investigating an assault where a 21 year-old man received injuries to his face.
The incident occurred just before 10pm on Friday (4 June) outside Castle Vale Residents Association on Yatesbury Avenue, Castle Vale.
The 21 year-old victim was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition. A man aged 17 was arrested on suspicion of wounding. He is currently on police bail pending further inquiries. Anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with information is urged to call Force CID on 0345 113 5000.”
