JKS get FA Cup go-ahead

FA Cup Preliminary Round: Castle Vale JKS v Wednesfield
Saturday 28th August .  Kick off 3pm
Castle Vale Stadium, Farnborough Road.

The Football Association have said that Vale Stadium is fit for the FA Cup tie between JKS and Wednesfield this Saturday. There had been concerns that the playing surface would not be ready because of the ground’s newly installed sprinkler system, but inspectors today have given the green light to the match.
This will be JKS’ first ever FA Cup tie. They were given a walkover result from their game scheduled a fortnight ago when Ledbury, their opponents in the Extra Preliminary Round,  were pulled out of the competition. JKS were automatically awarded the £750 prize money.
The stakes are higher for this round – a place in the First Qualifying Round on 11th September and prize money of £1,500 to the winners.
JKS are in the Premier Division of the Midland Combination; Wednesfield FC (from Wolverhampton) are in the Premier Division of the West Midlands Regional League.
