Ex Vale star earns Burton trial

Danny Carter (red shirt) playing for Vale FC last season against JKS

Danny Carter, Vale FC’s top scorer last season before he moved up a league to join Coleshill in the Midland Alliance, is hitting the net with such frequency that he has earned himself a trial with League Two side Burton Albion. Carter scored a hat-trick in Coleshill’s 3-0 victory at Evesham in the FA Cup. It was his second hat-trick in four days.
Coleshill will now play Lincoln United in the 2nd Qualifying round of the FA Cup this Saturday. There’s £4,500 for the winning team – Coleshill have already earned £5,250 from wins in earlier rounds of this season’s competition.

I went to see Coleshill play Lincoln United in the FA cup today. Coleshill won 5-1 – guess who scored the first 3 goals? Yes Danny Carter ex Castle Vale FC.The game was more even than the score suggests.

  3. That’s his fourth hat-trick of the season. I think he’s on trial with Burton till the end of the coming week. At 24, he may be too old to make it pro…. maybe not.
