Jags and St G’s lead the way

Sunday football round-up
Castle Vale Jags and St Gerards play in different leagues, but they have something in common – a 100% record this season. Jags sit on top of the Sutton and District Sunday League Division One with five wins from five. They beat Hardwick Arms 4-1 at the weekend. It was only the second goal the Jags have conceded in the league this season, and they’ve scored 28.
St Gerards are top of the Festival League Senior Amateur Division. They beat Three Horseshoes 4-1 on Sunday, taking their goal tally to 25 in five league games.
Castle Vale Jags Reserves have got off to a good start, too. In their first season they are top of Sutton Sunday League Division Four after a narrow 4-3 win against Erdington Reserves.
Poor old Castle Vale Veterans’ up-and-down season continues. They were at the receiving end of a 10-1 thumping at the hands of Water Orton. The Vets drop below half way in division three of the Central Warwickshire  League.
Castle County Under 16s recorded their second successive league win, a 2-1 victory against Conquerors. County move into second place in their league.
