An ‘e-fit’ image of a man recovered from a Birmingham canal has been released by police, in a bid to identity him. The body was discovered on Thursday 4 November in the Birmingham & Fazeley canal near Tyburn Road junction with Wheelwright Road, Erdington. Police are not treating the death as suspicious. Post mortem results revealed the man died as a result of drowning.Sergeant Ian Ingram from Force CID, said: “We still do not know his name or where he is from. He had no identification on him when he was found. We believe he may be local to the area. He is white and in his mid 50s. He may have been in the water for around 24 hours before he was discovered.
“Do you know someone who has been missing since around November 3 and matches the efit image? If so, please make contact with Force CID on 0345 113 5000.”
