Police urge vigilance after Shard End ‘abduction attempt’


POLICE ARE URGING parents to be vigilant, following the report of an abduction attempt on a young girl in Shard End at 8.36am on Thursday.
The 10 year-old girl said that she was grabbed by two men who tried to bundle her into a white van. She broke free and ran to a nearby house for safety.
The men are described as having “brown skin” and short dark hair; one was wearing a black tracksuit and thought to be between 20-30 years. One was wearing black and yellow trainers and the other had white and blue trainers.┬áThe third man, thought to be the driver, was described as white.
