Court works through the night

Solihull magistrates worked through the night to deal with people accused of looting and rioting in Birmingham earlier this week.
20 of the 26 defendants are now in prison having either been sentenced or awaiting follow-up court appearances.
20-year-old Ryan Kelly from Leahill Croft in Chelmsley Wood was jailed for six months after admitting looting £3,500 worth of cigarettes from a Birmingham newsagent.
Justinder Douglas, 24, from Newtown admitted stealing almost £5,000 worth of perfume from House of Fraser and was remanded in custody until September 8 when he will be sentenced at Birmingham Crown Court.
It is the first time that a court has worked through the night in the West Midlands.
