Court bans Fort Parkway ‘boy racers’ for two more years

The courts have extended for a further two years the injunction preventing ‘boy racers’ from ‘car-cruising’ in Castle Vale and surrounding area.
It applies to anyone participating in a car cruise between 7pm and 7 am on Tyburn Road from Spaghetti Junction, and Washwood Heath Road and Coleshill Road.
Drivers and passengers are banned from causing excessive noise, danger to other road users, damage or the risk of damage to private property, littering and  nuisance.
Since the introduction 112 drivers have been handed injunctions.
Drivers who defy the ban could face a prison sentence or fine and having their car seized  by the police.
The new injunction lasts until 22nd September 2013.
