Father Knight

Father Michael Knight, who until recently was priest of St Gerards Church in Castle Vale, has died after a long illness.
Last Friday, St Edmund Campion School, where he had been a governor for 36 years, named their new hall in honour of Father Knight.

It was with great sadness at Saint Cuthbert’s, that we received the news of Father Michael’s death. Giving thanks for his ministry in this place, we extend our sympathy and prayers to his family and friends, to his former congregation at S. Gerard’s and to their new Parish Priest Fr. Mariano.

Father Michael Knight a true legend, inspiring, caring and a loyal servent to both St Gerards and St Edmund Campion School. I have fond memories of him and Castle Vale will not be the same again,
Thank you for all your support

  4. I had the privelege of serving as a reader in Mass for Fr. Michael and also joining him for many years, in the 1990s, on the board of governors at St. Edmund Campion School. He was the priest at my wedding, the baptism of my children and also their marriages; in addition he also instructed me in the Roman Catholic faith. A remarkable man, great friend and spiritual leader. My thoughts are with Felicity, his beloved sister and a wonderful person herself. RIP.
