Chivenor School governors look at academy options

Chivenor School Governors and headteacher are looking at options to move the school into academy status by September 2012.
The governors at the school have considered several academy chain organisations, including AET (Academies Enterprise Trust) which aims to  take over the running of the secondary school in September.
But it is understood that the Chivenor governors are likely to go for an alternative organisation, as they do not wish to be linked with the same academy provider as the secondary school.
Prospects Improve, a Kent-based organisation that specialises in school improvement and works with several academy schools, is one of the options being considered.
