Rookery Park will be having a hog roast and a royal make over, for a Jubilee Big Lunch this Sunday 3rd June to celebrate the the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
Councillor Robert Alden says it will be like the last Diamond Jubilee party in Erdington. That too had a hog roast, way back in 1897, in honour of Queen Victoria’s 60 years on the throne.
The event starts at midday; visitors can bring their own food, or share in the hog roast.
The event has been organised by local Councillors Robert Alden, Bob Beauchamp and Gareth Moore, along with the Erdington Town Centre Partnership and Erdington Constituency officers.
